I really like the song book. It challenges you for the next level. And it also helps to instill the information that we just learned on the violin. It also takes the pain of trying to find songs that are at your level after you finish the learning portion of the 2 book. I am excited to get into the next round of books for 3rd position on the violin. :) Thank you for making learning accessible, and affordable, when In many cases it has not been in the past. At least when I was a child. Please keep inspiring, helping, and encouraging people like me.

The violin song books 1 and 2 are really well designed graded pieces for beginning violinists. Interesting Violin repertoire for an adult beginner that is properly graded can be difficult to find, so the 20 short pieces comprising books 1 and 2 are mandatory supplemental studies for inclusion with etudes scale exercises and other first position solos. They can be used as supplemental material with other methods, or as intended with Alison’s online video course. Songbook 2 goes with video lessons 11-20, and there is a lesson book supplementing those lessons for those that need it. Highly recommended.

It's a great book to practice from and due to QR codes you can easily find related videos for reference.

I have purchased several of Alison Sparrow's violin books and I absolutely LOVE THEM! I'm not taking any violin classes, but coupled with Alison's instructions on youtube, her books are easy to follow and they have allowed me to progress much faster than I had thought possible. I have found the level of difficulty of the books to be just right! They contain many really catchy tunes, and I would definitely recommend both the "Song Book 2" and the "Simply Series" to any adult beginner of the violin.

Its a good book with nice songs, for me its dificult I dont play for a long time and do not play well, but maybe for a 2º book its normal.
