Loving Alisons Piano books. Have returned to piano playing after 2 decades and find her books and online videos a perfect way back to playing. Exactly the same style that I learnt so it all comes back to me! Thank you so much for this very reasonably priced, amazing resource.

Enjoying this book as an absolute beginner. It follows on from Books1 and 2 and is taking me forward to reading music and actually knowing what the notes mean. The explanations are short, clear and supported with diagrams and hints from the tutor on how to remember them.There are music sheets and short tests and links to the online video demonstrations. Once downloaded I have been able to print a paper copy to carry with me and it has copied in pdf form to my iPhone so I am mobile with this.

A Most Excellent Starting Point

I bought this combination to enhance the completely free of charge YouTube lessons that Alison Sparrow very kindly posts. I have viewed a large number of other You Tube tutorials from other piano teachers and in my opinion Alison is streets ahead of the rest. The book combination along with the YouTube tutorials does not assume that the student knows anything at all and therefore very clearly and concisely explains every aspect in easy every day terms. Each chapter builds logically on the previous one and works fantastically with the online tutorials. I have bought Book 2 and 3 to go straight on to when I complete Book 1. I will review these once I complete them. I fully expect them to be to Alison's extremely high standard.

Learn to play Piano Book 3 and Songbook 3

I always wanted to be able to play the piano and at 54 stumbled on Alison’s piano course. This book as well as the songbook, like the previous two books, offers a wealth of info and together with her video’s really makes learning the piano very possible for anyone. Doing the exercises, studying the video’s and put in some effort and you will be on your way. Amazing stuff! I started with no knowledge and book one and I’m currently busy with book 3. Highly recommended! Can’t wait for the her next book.
