Start learning violin with Alison’s free first 10 lessons, designed to give complete beginners a structured introduction to the instrument.
The free starter course includes the resources needed to follow Lessons 1–10, including exercises, violin finger charts, sheet music and backing tracks. By the end of Lesson 10, you will have started reading music, using all four fingers and playing a complete piece with accompaniment.
If you enjoy the course, your next step is Song Book 1 before continuing to Lessons 11–20.
