The Simply Series for Violin is easy to download and print at home. I now have five violin books featuring different musical themes: 1) Country, 2) Gypsy, 3) Jazz, Blues & Rags, 4) Jigs & Reels, and 5) Romantic. Alison Sparrow has organized each book into easy-to-read sheet music. I look forward to working through her books!

This Combo is terrific value for money, and is real pleasure trying to play at the moment, I am just a very much beginner but find that the way she teaches totally invaluable and in a way that is easy to understand, not too full of the technical stuff. I have recently purchased my first violin at age 54 (my poor husband........) I am learning via your tutorial on You Tube and have purchased this series of books to assist with my learning. Thank you so much Alison, your tutorials and books are very easy to understand you are a pleasure to listen to and help keep me motivated through a lot of frustration. I am hoping in a year or so that I will be able to play something that resembles an actual melody, but for now it is practice practice practice (and hopefully for a long time to come)

I love this series of books! It's hard to find good beginner material for violin. And it's great to find something to supplement my lesson book. I'm also considering getting the Mini Concerto. :)

Although I'm an adult I am absolutely new to violin and to reading music. What I need most is practice practice practice. I'm studying with a local instructor AND with Alison's you-tube pointers which I was blessed to find in addition to an app featuring her lessons. I purchased all 5 of her "Simply" books (which I call the Simply Alison series) and I'm very pleased with the practice they give me in reading music. I especially like fast tunes and was happy to find that about half of the 50 songs are described as fast, lively or swinging! She offers so much for free, I am happy to be able to contribute a little by purchasing these books.

I'm an adult beginner too and am also getting sick of what I'm practising so the variety is absolutely fabulous as are the YouTube videos which go with the pieces. I don't think I would be able to learn them without hearing the pieces as well. Thank you!

I'm an adult beginner and I've started to get bored with nursery rhymes. That's why I'm so glad to get hold of these new pieces! I haven't started them yet but I'm keen to get started! I had a little trouble downloading them and sent an email; Alison was so prompt at helping me getting them I can't fault her!
