Violin after 3 months and the fiddlerman review I left

Posted by Thomas Adams on 31st Mar 2020

I would recommend this violin to anyone. I purchased this at the end of last year from Alison Sparrow the online piano and violin tutor. You could not have asked for a better review of a violin it was like having your own personal violin tutor come to the shop with you and without a doubt gave me the courage to make such a large first time purchase.
Its a wonderful one piece back in a dark antique mahogany. I'll admit I was a bit thrown by the antiquing at first but now wouldn't have it any other way. It sounds great and I'm sure that it will only improve as time goes by.
Thoroughly enjoying the experience of learning the violin and would highly recommend both the fiddlerman and Alison’s tutorials. To anyone who is self teaching.
It is a pity I can’t upload any pictures of the violin as the stock picture above just doesn't do it any justice.

The violin arrived today and it is very nice. It was flawlessly packed it arrived very quickly, especially considering it’s the festive season, plus I was kept informed all the way through the process.
Without a doubt it was the in-depth review that Alison did with all three Holstein violins that sold it to me. They were a fun and a pleasure to watch as well as assuring me that I was purchasing a quality violin.
I’m sure it will provide me with much amusement and pleasure over the years, especially as I improve. Unfortunately and most amusingly at the moment as a beginner I sound like a cat’s choir and a very screechy one at that.
